Following Kate Middleton's "planned" abdominal surgery and King Charles' cancer diagnosis, all attention is focused on the royal family members.
A notable event was Harry's visit to Britain upon learning of his father's diagnosis. Charles himself reportedly told Harry about his cancer.
Although they met briefly, their encounter was short-lived as Charles had a helicopter trip planned to the royal estate of Sandringham for rest between treatments. Allegedly, Harry was not allowed to accompany him.
The content of their discussion remains unknown. However, it's evident that Harry's visit did not pave the way for the peace talks many had anticipated.
Prince William reportedly had no plans to meet with his brother. According to Radar Online, Camilla was displeased with Harry meeting Charles without palace approval.
The National Enquirer quoted a source saying, “Her Majesty was furious Harry flew in from his luxurious California home without palace approval—and arrived with an attitude.”
The same report claimed Harry asked Camilla to exit the room to speak privately with his father. “I’m told Camilla was outraged,” the source continued. “She’s endured a lot of hostility from Harry over the years and was eager to confront him.”
Harry and Camilla's relationship has always been strained. He has publicly criticized her in the past, even in his memoir, "Spare."
In the memoir, Harry revealed that he and William had advised their father against marrying Camilla. “Despite Willy and me urging him not to, Pa was going ahead. We shook his hand, wished him well. No hard feelings,” Harry wrote. He also expressed concerns about Camilla's potential role as a stepmother, echoing William's suspicions.
In previous media interviews, Harry accused Camilla of leaking stories to improve her public image. He suggested the media portrayed her negatively, blaming her for the breakdown of Charles and Diana's marriage.
Harry said in an interview with Good Morning America that he hadn’t spoken to Camilla for a long time. “I love every member of my family, despite our differences. When I see her, we’re civil,” he stated. “She's my stepmother. I don’t see her as an evil stepmother but as someone who married into this institution and has tried to improve her image for her own benefit.”
Royal expert Angela Levin mentioned in her book, "Camilla: From Outcast to Queen Consort," that Camilla shares similar feelings and isn't keen on maintaining a relationship with Harry. “The Duchess always felt uneasy around Harry and often caught him staring at her coldly. Despite this, they generally got along,” Levin writes.
Regarding Harry's recent visit, the source added, “Camilla has put up with a lot, but using her husband’s cancer for a 'caring son' PR move was the final straw. After the meeting, I understand she told Harry he’s a disgrace to his father, the family, and the monarchy—and made it clear he isn’t welcome back!”
