Peter Morris, a beloved 47-year-old father of two and owner of Little Dragon Pizza, passed away after battling cancer. The Prince and Princess of Wales expressed their heartfelt condolences to his family.
Morris first crossed paths with the royal couple in 2023 when they purchased 12 pizzas from him for the Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team during a visit to Dowlais Rugby Club in Merthyr Tydfil.
Upon learning of his passing, Prince William and Princess Kate sent a letter to Morris' wife, Tracey, offering their deepest sympathies. "We can only begin to imagine the immense void he will leave in your life," they wrote. "Our hearts go out to you and your family."

Morris had previously overcome oesophageal cancer, but sadly, he was later diagnosed with adrenal gland and liver cancer, receiving the devastating news just four months after meeting the royals. Their letter of condolence was read aloud at his funeral.
In the letter, Kensington Palace wrote: "Catherine and I thoroughly enjoyed meeting Pete and helping to serve pizzas to the Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team. Pete was clearly a dedicated and valued member of the community, and this has been shown by the overwhelming response to his passing."

The news of Morris’ death was shared on Little Dragon Pizza's social media, where the community responded with an outpouring of love and tributes, reflecting the profound impact he had on those around him.
May he rest in peace.
