Gabriella Laberge Stuns ‘AGT’ Judges With Violin And Angelic Voice

America’s Got Talent, one of the world’s most renowned talent competitions, recently welcomed a familiar face for Eurovision enthusiasts. Gabriella Laberge, a French-Canadian singer and violinist who previously participated in France’s Destination Eurovision in 2019, delivered a mesmerizing audition that left both the audience and judges spellbound.

Before stepping onto the AGT stage, Gabriella shared her aspirations in a heartfelt pre-performance video. “This is the opportunity of my life,” she expressed. “My biggest dream is to make music my life.”

Hailing from Quebec, the gifted artist took the stage with her violin, beginning her audition with an enchanting solo that immediately drew in judges Howie Mandel, Sofia Vergara, and Heidi Klum. However, Simon Cowell appeared unimpressed, his hand hovering over the red buzzer, seemingly ready to halt her performance. But Gabriella had a surprise in store.

Seamlessly transitioning from playing to singing, she delivered a soul-stirring rendition of James Blunt’s “Goodbye My Lover.” The beauty of her voice caught Cowell’s attention, causing him to withdraw his hand from the buzzer and fully immerse himself in her performance.

As she finished, the entire panel of judges, along with the audience, erupted into a standing ovation—Cowell included. Their unanimous approval secured Gabriella’s place in the next stage of the competition.

However, her AGT journey remains uncertain. Her audition aired during the season’s final audition episode, the eighth of the series. With over 150 acts receiving “yes” votes throughout the season, only 36 will advance to the live shows. Fans must wait until the series resumes after a three-week hiatus to find out if Gabriella makes the cut.

Gabriella first gained television recognition in 2019 when she competed in France’s Destination Eurovision. Performing her song “On cherche encore (Never Get Enough),” she quickly became a fan favorite. Despite her strong following, she was eliminated in the semi-finals, with Bilal Hassani ultimately winning the competition with the song “Roi.”

Gabriella Laberge’s AGT audition signifies a new milestone in her career, allowing her to showcase her extraordinary talent on a global stage. Regardless of the outcome, her heartfelt performance has already made a lasting impact on both the judges and viewers, reigniting excitement among her Eurovision supporters.
