Taylor Swift had a rough experience at Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans, where things didn’t go quite as planned.
Not only did her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, leave the game without a win, but the pop superstar herself was met with a wave of boos when she appeared on the big screen.
Swift’s Reaction to the Crowd
With millions of fans worldwide and a reputation free of major controversy, Taylor Swift is one of the most beloved figures in music today. But even she isn’t immune to a hostile reception.
During the Super Bowl matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs, Swift was spotted at the Caesars Superdome, seemingly just enjoying the game and supporting her boyfriend, Chiefs star Travis Kelce. But when the cameras caught her on the big screen, the crowd responded with loud boos.
In what seemed like a moment of confusion, Swift was seen mouthing “What is going on?” to her friend and fellow artist Ice Spice, perhaps taken aback by the negative reaction.
Swift, originally from West Reading, Pennsylvania, has been publicly supportive of the Eagles in the past. A few years ago, she was photographed wearing an Eagles sweatshirt while out in New York City. However, since beginning her relationship with Kelce, she’s switched her allegiance to the Kansas City Chiefs.
It seems the pro-Eagles crowd in New Orleans didn’t forget her previous Philly support, and when Swift appeared on the big screen, their boos were a clear sign of their disapproval.
Donald Trump Weighs In
The spectacle didn’t go unnoticed by former President Donald Trump, who couldn’t resist commenting on the situation. Trump, also in attendance as the first sitting president to ever attend a Super Bowl, shared his thoughts on Truth Social, writing:

“The only one who had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got BOOED out of the stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!”
While Swift faced a cold reception, Trump himself was met with a warm welcome, with fans visibly excited to see the former president at the game.
The Twitter account End Wokeness also noted the stark contrast in crowd reactions, tweeting: “Taylor Swift got mercilessly booed. Trump got a hero’s welcome. Total culture shift.”
Elon Musk’s Response
Elon Musk, a close ally of Trump, also joined in the conversation, offering a pointed comment on the situation. In a brief but biting reply, Musk wrote: “Vibe shift is real.”

Musk’s comment wasn’t the first time he’s taken a jab at Swift. Back when she made a political endorsement in favor of Kamala Harris, Musk tweeted, “Fine Taylor…you win… I will give you a child and guard your cats with my life,” referencing Swift’s playful sign-off of “childless cat lady.”
